OUR MISSION

Rebuilding shattered lives of survivors and co-workers affected by line of duty deaths, through partnerships with law enforcement and the community.

ABOUT METROPLEX C.O.P.S.

Each year, Texas loses an average of 15 law enforcement officers to a line-of-duty death.  We currently have over 2,700 surviving family members living in the State.  For too many years Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) has had areas of Texas that have not been covered by a local C.O.P.S. Chapter.  The three Texas C.O.P.S. Chapters agreed to expand their service areas to include the entire state.  Metroplex C.O.P.S. serves 114 North Texas Counties.

Our goal is to provide resources to assist in the rebuilding of the lives of surviving families and affected co-workers of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.  We also provide training to law enforcement agencies on survivor victimization issues and educate the public on the need to support the law enforcement profession and its survivors.

In order to accomplish our mission, we need help.  If you, or someone you know, would be willing to serve as a Chapter Trustee or Law Enforcement Liaison in a few counties near your home, please let us know.  Your C.O.P.S. Chapter will provide all of the assistance you may need in order to serve in this capacity.
